A performance-oriented version of the Polestar 2 has been teased by the Swedish brand ahead of an official reveal later this week.
The new model has been described as a “thrilling” version of the fully electric car and is believed to be the follow up to the BST Edition 270 which was launched mid-last year.
Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath recently took to social media to share a short teaser briefly showing the model’s front fascia and quarter.
What we see is the Polestar 2 wearing a similar stripe to the BST Edition 270 along while its Pirelli P Zero-wrapped wheels cover gold-coloured brake calipers and drilled brake rotors.
Reports suggest the new model has been created to align with the updated version of the Polestar 2 which has been given more power, refreshed styling, and a rear-wheel drive variant for 2024.
As for performance, the updated dual-motor model is said to make 350kW in its highest trim level with the Performance Pack installed. That means we can expect to see an even higher power gain out of the upcoming performance variant and a 0 to 100km/h time of less than 4.2 seconds.
A full reveal of the performance-oriented Polestar 2 is set for 21 March 2023.
