Ford New Zealand has appointed Cameron Thomas to the newly created role of network strategy director. He has also been made a company director at Ford New Zealand.
Mr Thomas was previously the director of marketing for Ford New Zealand, a position he held for almost a decade.
He will implement strategic commercial growth opportunities, including company fleet expansion, while also focusing on customer experience and dealer excellence.
In his place as the new marketing director for Ford New Zealand is Mathew Slade (above). He had previously been the product and retail marketing manager for the Ranger products in Australia.
He has been with Ford Australia since 2016, and under his watch the Ranger became the best selling vehicle in 2023. It was the first time Ford had managed that in almost 30 years. Clearly it was no fluke either because Ranger was again the top selling vehicle in Australia last year.
For Slade and his family, it is a return to New Zealand after living abroad since 2012.
Prior to taking on Ranger duties, he had overseen Everest Marketing and helped develop Everest Tremor. In between time, he completed an MBA at Melbourne Business School.
