A performance-oriented version of the Polestar 2 called the BST Edition 230 has recently been revealed as the brand’s second limited-edition model, following a teaser released earlier this week.
The new EV is the Swedish brand’s follow up to last year’s BST Edition 270, only this time around, 230 examples will be made instead of 270 (hence the figure in its name).
It’s powertrain is made up of a long range battery and the dual electric motor setup found in the newly-updated Polestar 2. That brings power output in the BST Edition 230 to 350kW and 680Nm of torque.
A 0 to 100km/h sprint takes 4.4 seconds which matches that of the regular top-of-the-range model with the Performance Pack installed.
The BST Edition 230 comes finished in green Nebula paintwork and features MicroSuede fabric for the seat and steering wheel inserts. An optional black exterior color is also available along with a full-length body stripe.
Upgrades have also been made to the suspension including a 25mm lower ride height and 20 per cent stiffer springs courtesy of “specially developed” Öhlins 2-way adjustable dampers.
As for brakes, four-piston Brembo calipers can be found up front along with 400mm drilled and ventilated discs while standard single-piston and 390mm ventilated discs make up the braking force at the rear.
There’s also a front strut bar for increased chassis rigidity and new 21-inch alloy wheels that are inspired by the Polestar 1 and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
The Polestar 2 BST Edition 230 will only be sold in European and North American markets and is available to order now. Deliveries are expected from the third quarter of 2023.
