Porsche France has teased an image of what we think is a special edition 911 that could be revealed at the Le Mans Classic this weekend.
We’re only shown one image of the car and even then, all we see is a photo of its rear end in the shadows.
The image also shows a 365 SL Gmund Coupe parked in front of the mystery sports car, which won its class at the 1951 24 Hours of Le Mans.
There’s no telling if the endurance racer of old is the inspiration for the special edition 911 though.
It’s also obvious that this isn’t the highly-anticipated 911 ST which features various components from the GT3 and the bubble roof of the Sport Classic.
Porsche has released exclusive cars for specific countries in the past and that could be the case here.
The teaser post by Porsche France suggests the special edition 911 will be revealed on 29 June 2023 at the Le Mans Classic.
