Ram Trucks Australia has just put the finishing touches on its 20,000th right-hand drive pick-up.
To mark the occasion, the brand chose its cream of the crop model to be its milestone truck, a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 Hemi-powered TRX model finished in Hydro Blue.
Each pick-up arrives from the United States into Ram’s Melbourne Manufacturing Facility where they are converted to right-hand drive for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Leading the operation is the Ateco Group, the world’s only authorised manufacturer of right-hand drive Rams with the two brands’ relationship beginning in 2013.
“RAM is one of our best known and strongest brands in the USA and I am really proud to see it here in Australia,” said Carl Smiley, Chief Operating Officer, India & Asia Pacific at Stellantis.
“The Ateco Group are great partners to have in this project – the quality of right-hand drive trucks is testament to the teamwork between those on the ground here in Australia and those back in the US.”

Ram Trucks Australia recently ramped up operations at its Melbourne facility in order to keep up with record demand.
There are currently over 1170 right-hand drive Ram pick-ups on New Zealand roads with 27 being sold in January 2023 alone, according to Waka Kotahi’s vehicle registration database.
