As the year draws to a close, it seems car buyers are out in force with Suzuki New Zealand experiencing record sales of its vehicles in November.
The brand is celebrating its best-ever monthly sales figure of 931 registrations last month, regardless of new vehicle sales in New Zealand being 4.3 per cent lower than November 2021.
Suzuki’s November sales were also 49 per cent up on the same time last year while capturing 8.3 per cent market share in the passenger car and SUV segments. It was also the fourth best selling new car brand last month for year to date sales.
Among the models contributing to its success, the Swift remained the top-selling model for the brand with sales up 67.2 per cent on the same month in 2021.
Also adding to the record sales figure for Suzuki was strong demand for the Jimny, as well as the Vitara and newly released S-Cross. The Ignis was also popular as all models gained rebates under the Clean Car Program.
“There has been a considerable shift in the market towards more environmentally responsible vehicles,” said Gary Collins, General Manager of Motor Vehicle Marketing for Suzuki New Zealand.
“This has been obvious with the high number of electric vehicle sales over recent months. But for many customers the move to an efficient smaller vehicle than what they currently own has been the more affordable option which still allows them to lower their running costs while also reducing the emissions from their driving.”
