A list of affected models and model years can be found below.
Renault 21
The 1997 to 1998 model year Renault 21 is being recalled due to a defect relating to the turbocharger oil supply pipe, creating the possibility that the pipe could loosen and immobilise the vehicle. This requires repair.
Laguna
The 1997 to 1998 model year Laguna is being recalled due to a defect relating to the drivers airbag wiring harness. The harness needs to be inspected to ensure it meets specification.
The 1998 to 1999 model year Laguna is being recalled due to a defect relating to the gear shift cables. The cables need to be inspected as they may have excessive resistance and cause sticking. This requires an inspection.
The 1999 to 2000 model year Laguna is being recalled due to a defective brake servo non-return valve. This requires an inspection.
Clio
The 1999 to 2000 model year Clio is being recalled for the same issue as the 1999 to 2000 Laguna due to a defective brake servo non-return valve. This requires an inspection.
The 2014 model year Clio is being recalled due to defective front wheel arch liners which could possibly damage the front brake hoses. This requires an inspection.
Megane II
The 2002 to 2003 model year Megane II is being recalled due to a defect relating to the brake pedal collapse system, creating the possibility that the locking finger from brake pedal collapse system might be missing, and therefore immobilise the vehicle. This requires an inspection.
The 2008 model year Megane II is being recalled due to a defect relating to the air conditioning compressor. The vehicle requires reprogramming of the injection computer, to prevent possible immobilising of the vehicle in the event of seizure of the air conditioning compressor. This requires possible repair.
Scenic II
The 2004 to 2005 Scenic II is being recalled due to a defect relating to the electronic brake, creating the possibility that the electronic parking brake could be applied without being requested. This requires possible repair
Safrane
The 1997 model year Safrane is being recalled due to a defect relating to the exhaust heat shield. The clearance between the protective shield and the fuel tank is inadequate. A replacement part needs to be fitted.
