Ringbrothers – the same restomod company that built Greg Murphy’s Dodge Charger – has revealed its latest out-the-gate creation, a 1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II with the beating heart of a Corvette Z06.
Officially dubbed ‘Paramount’, the luxury muscle car was built from the ground up with a custom-made chassis and was then fitted with a 6.2-litre supercharged LT4 V8 crate motor from General Motors, producing 477kW and 861Nm of torque.
Power is then sent through a ten-speed automatic transmission hooked up to a carbon fibre driveshaft, but we don’t know how it translates to the road as Ringbrothers has yet to release information regarding the car’s 0 to 100km/h sprint time or top speed.
Giving it a tasteful drop is a set of Fox RS SV coilovers, while braking is taken care of by Baer six-piston calipers on all four corners. Although the wheels look fairly original, they’re actually custom 18-inch units with gyro centre caps that keep the Rolls-Royce logo facing upright at all times.
While it’s hardly the cruiser it used to be underneath, it still maintains a sense of sophistication on the outside considering the body has been left largely untouched – making it quite the sleeper.
The same can be said for the interior, with the only major changes being a set of updated gauges and machined billet switches, as well as a new headliner that mimics the starry night sky by means of 1000 LED lights.
“Every part of this build is brimming with detail and character,” says Mike Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers, via CarScoops.
“The exterior keeps to the allure of traditional British luxury while the engine, chassis and interior all embrace a modern luxury sedan.
“This project combines Rolls-Royce’s past and present with a 640-horsepower American accent. We invested over 3400 hours in fabricating, painting and engineering this project and are grateful to our partners for working with us to further our craft and allowing us to explore an entirely new realm of art form.”
The Ringbrothers Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II is currently on display at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, USA.
