It has been announced that Simon Rutherford, current managing director of Ford New Zealand, is set to move onto a new role.
We understand that Rutherford has taken up a new position overseas that has yet to be officially announced.
In the meantime, he will continue in his current role at the local arm of Ford before a replacement is decided.
“Since his appointment as managing director of Ford New Zealand in 2016, he has guided the New Zealand business to record sales levels, including light commercial segment leadership and ongoing overall Ford Ranger market leadership,” said Ford New Zealand spokesperson Tom Clancy, via AutoTalk.
Rutherford is also the current president of the Motor Industry Association in New Zealand.
