Suzuki has yet to release a fully electric vehicle (EV) to the global market which it plans to change following the reveal of its eVX Concept at the Auto Expo 2023 in Delhi, India.
As with many concept cars, much has been left to the imagination other than looks but we’re told the eVX will combine the “strong 4×4 DNA” Suzuki is known for with the technology of modern EVs.
The model will be released as an SUV which the Japanese carmaker plans to release to the global market in 2025.
Suzuki says the eVX will feature a 60kWh battery capable of travelling 550km on a single charge.
With regard to its looks, there’s plenty of Grand Vitara about the eVX with differences being a blocked off front grille and more muscular arches. But make no mistake, this is a completely new vehicle.
Its headlights are something new we haven’t seen from the brand before as they take on a sharp, arrowhead form while a central taillight spans across the rear end.
“I am delighted to unveil the eVX, our first global strategic EV. At the Suzuki Group, addressing global warming is a priority,” said Toshihiro Suzuki, Suzuki Motor President.
