Suzuki New Zealand has introduced the new Swift RS Hybrid to its local line-up, bringing with it 900km of range and five-star safety.
The RS Hybrid makes use of the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder found in the Hybrid GLX model combined with the power of a 12-volt 10Ah lithium-ion battery hybrid system.
Its powertrain is rated at 4.7 litres per 100km meaning the Swift RS Hybrid can travel up to 900km on one tank of fuel.
Standard specification has been upgraded to include keyless entry, electrically folding wing mirrors, climate control air conditioning, wheel-mounted paddle shifters and central dashboard detailing in silver.
The five-door hatchback comes equipped with a suite of safety features including a forward detection system, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep function, lane departure warning, weaving alert and blind spot monitor.
Other safety features include rear cross traffic alert that warns drivers of an unseen vehicle while reversing, and rear parking proximity sensors, all of which have contributed to the model’s five-star ANCAP safety rating.
The Hybrid RS has a recommended retail price of $30,990 and as the car produces an emission level of 94 g/km of CO2, it benefits from the highest rebate of $3160.52 in the range of Suzuki models.
