The first images of the upcoming Kia EV3 are now online, ahead of its late May global reveal. They suggest geometric and robust styling along the lines of EV9 and EV5.
The latter is currently touring the country ahead of its local introduction. Another vehicle using Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the new baby Kia reveal will be live on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel on May 23rd at 10pm NZ time.
Until then, Kia has released teaser images of the EV3. Boxy rear fenders and tailgate suggest a rugged dynamic offering. The EV3’s signature Star Map lighting hints of a futuristic identity.
This will likely resemble a shrunken version of Kia’s flagship EV9 SUV. The design philosophy at once identifies it as a Kia family member. However, it also gives the freedom for each vehicle to express a unique character. EV3 is set to make electric mobility from Kia more affordable.
The EV3 will be comprehensively equipped and offer up-to-the-minute performance thanks to modern technologies. The compact SUV should help accelerate the global EV transition “by providing a more accessible solution for customers considering the switch to electric mobility”.
Expect the new Kia EV3 to go on sale here before year end.
