Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed that production of the highly-anticipated Cybertruck has been pushed back to 2024.
The model was originally planned to roll off the production line in mid-2023 which is when we’ll now see the first few examples instead.
No exact time for when mass production of the Cybertruck has been given but Tesla is currently installing the manufacturing equipment needed to make the EV.
We have yet to see any official images of a production version either, even though the model was announced back in 2019.
However, leaked images from inside a Tesla factory surfaced last October revealed the model had a few new changes from when we first saw it like a new tail light design and two new reverse lights.
Tesla currently has 1.5 million pre orders for the Cybertruck which it will need to fulfil once it starts production.
It plans to make 250,000 examples a year, meaning it will take at least six years for some customers to receive their vehicles.
