The arrival of the Polestar 4 has been confirmed for New Zealand, with the local arm of the all-electric firm now opening the order books for its first SUV coupé.
We’ve still got a few months to wait before it gets here as production of the new model is set to begin in the middle of 2024. With that being said, the first local deliveries of the model aren’t due until early September.
When it lands, there will be two variants to choose from, with pricing starting from $119,900 for the entry-level Long Range Single Motor which boasts 200kW and 343Nm of torque.
Also on offer is the Long Range Dual Motor which weighs in at $129,990, with the extra investment granting you access to a 400kW and 686Nm drivetrain that can propel the EV from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Both variants feature a 100kWh battery, with the single motor able to travel 610km on a charge, while the dual motor can do 580km. Both support charging of up to 200kW DC and 22kW AC.
Wheels range from 20 to 22 inches in size depending on the car’s configuration and come clad in Pirelli or Michelin rubber.
The Pilot and Plus packs come as standard on both Polestar 4s in New Zealand, granting buyers extra equipment like a Harmon Kardon sound system, LED headlights, and three-zone climate control.
Kiwi customers can option the Pro Pack which adds 21-inch wheels and other design details for an additional $4000, while a slew of Nappa leather upgrades are also available with the Plus Pack.
For those that go for the dual motor variant, an exclusive Performance Pack is available to choose from for $10,000, adding 22-inch wheels, chassis upgrades, and gold-coloured four-piston Brembo brakes, seat belts, and valve caps.
