The Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival is set to return to the Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell on March 25 to 26, 2023, and will hit the track running with a host of activities for all fans of the brand.
This year marks the event’s tenth anniversary which started as the Toyota 86 Owners Club and MR2 Owners Club day back in 2013.
With all Toyota and Lexus models now welcome, attendees can expect to see the new range of GR performance models such as the GR Supra, GR Yaris, GR86, and the new GR Corolla.
Toyota Gazoo Racing New Zealand general manager, Andrew Davis, says the Festival is an event not to be missed for any fan of the brand.
“At Toyota, we’re passionate about our brands and seeing customers simply having fun,” he says.
“The Festival gives owners the chance to bring their cars out to show, enjoy and share their passion with like-minded people and this year it will be really special to be able to showcase the growing range of Gazoo Racing sports cars.
“We encourage any Toyota and Lexus owner to come along for a track experience, show off their pride and joy or simply soak in the atmosphere of Toyota car heaven.”
On the day, owners will be able to take their car out on track, go on a five-hour trek in their four-wheel drive, or put their vehicle on display.
There will also be free activities like getting behind the wheel of a racing simulator or putting yourself through the paces in the GR86 pit stop challenge.
Andrew says whether you are participating in any track activities or not, all Toyota and Lexus vehicles are also welcomed to participate in the Toyota Parade Lap led by the pace car.
Attendance and parking is free for all spectators but those wanting to get out on track at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival must register their details here as numbers are limited.
