Yaris Cross deliveries have resumed following a temporary suspension of shipments from Japan due to issues with certification testing. Toyota New Zealand has confirmed today that the vehicles produced for New Zealand are fully compliant with certification requirements.
Toyota New Zealand felt a temporary pause in customer deliveries was appropriate while the vehicle’s status was investigated.
Those investigations confirmed the correct process was adopted in tests conducted for the New Zealand specification Yaris Cross.
As stated last week by the company, there were no safety or performance issues with Yaris Cross.
Toyota New Zealand wished to apologise for any customer concern or inconvenience that may have been experienced and thanked them for their patience and understanding.
TNZ said it wanted to reassure its customers that their vehicles are unaffected, and they can continue to drive with confidence. The company appreciates the ongoing support of its New Zealand customers.
