Tesla has officially confirmed the general production pricing for the new Model Y in New Zealand, with deliveries set to commence in June.
The Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant starts at $67,900 ($70,145 driveway), while the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model begins at $77,900 ($80,145 driveway).
Previously only a launch edition was available.

The RWD Model Y offers an estimated WLTP range of 466 km, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, and reaches a top speed of just over 200 km/h. The Long Range AWD variant extends the range to approximately 550 km, achieves 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, and shares the same top speed as the RWD model.
Both versions come equipped with basic Autopilot features, including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). For enhanced capabilities, customers can opt for the Full Self-Driving package at an additional $11,400 or the Enhanced Autopilot option for $5,700.

The updated Model Y showcases a refreshed design, featuring front and rear lightbars that enhance aerodynamics and energy efficiency. The interior boasts wrap-around lighting, soft-touch finishes, a 15.4-inch touchscreen, and ventilated seats. The second-row seats are power-reclining, fold flat, and include an eight-inch Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen.
Tesla has also retuned the suspension for improved handling and ride comfort, complemented by acoustic glass to ensure a quieter cabin experience.
Prospective buyers can choose from five exterior colors—white, blue, black, silver, or red—without any additional cost.The standard interior is black, with a white leather trim available for an extra $1,700.
For charging solutions, a wall charger is available at $850 plus installation, and an emergency charger can be purchased for $600.
Orders for the new Model Y can be placed through Tesla’s official New Zealand website, with deliveries expected to begin in June.
