Ferrari has announced it’s highly-anticipated Purosangue SUV will be making its debut in less than a week’s time, on September 13.
In a teaser video released by the Italian marque on social media, we are shown the illuminated headlights of the model and provided a short taste of its exhaust note.
If the brand’s word itself wasn’t enough for you, the clip confirms the model will come with V12 power, likely the same motor found in the 812 Superfast meaning it could make around 588kW.
With pretty much every other supercar maker having now established their position in the SUV market like Aston Martin with the DBX and Lamborghini’s Urus, entering the highly profitable segment is a no brainer nowadays.
While Ferrari initially denied it would make an SUV, the vehicle type’s popularity quickly made it only a matter of time before the brand would make its foray.
However, unlike the Urus which makes up 60 per cent of Lamborghini’s overall yearly sales, Ferrari maintain that the Purosangue will remain under 20 per cent and wants the SUV to be seen as a “true sports car.”
All will be revealed come September 13.
