After 18 months of construction, the new flagship Volvo Cars North Shore showroom has been officially opened.
Celebrating Scandinavian luxury, the showroom design features natural materials in a minimalistic design creating a feel of understated elegance, a perfect compliment to the Volvo Cars on display.
The goal is to offer the best possible customer experience, with a number of customer lounge areas; this allows customers to enjoy ‘Fika’, the Swedish tradition of taking time out of your day to pause and enjoy a hot drink and a snack in the family-friendly space.
Volvo Cars North Shore is not only the newest but also the biggest Volvo Showroom in the Southern Hemisphere.
Ben Montgomery, General Manager of Volvo Cars New Zealand, says, “This new site has been a long time coming, not least for the customers and team on the North Shore, who have faced challenging conditions for nearly two years. This new showroom was well worth the wait, and it has been finished in time to welcome the all-new Volvo EX30 in early 2024.”
The EX30 is the latest in Volvo’s growing range of class-leading EVs and plug-in hybrid vehicles. It is another step towards Volvo Cars reaching its stated claim of becoming fully electric by 2030. Additionally, Volvo is committed to being Carbon Neutral by 2040, with its Swedish Torslanda production facility already achieving this accreditation.
The glass-walled service area built into the main showroom space is a key feature of the showroom design. This allows customers to see the incredible care the Volvo Cars North Shore team delivers via Volvo’s personal service offering whilst ensuring that Volvo’s well-earned reputation for safety and reliability is on display.
Volvo Cars North Shore is now open at 2 Porana Road, Wairau Valley.
