Following our recent coverage of Waka Kotahi calling for tenders to identify Maori experiences with the New Zealand transport system, it has been revealed via a question from National MP for Pakuranga, Simeon Brown, that the agency is planning to spend $200,000 on the research.
The question as to how much money, if any, has NZTA allocated towards the research project “Maori experiences and expectations of the Transport system in Aotearoa New Zealand” was asked by Brown, revealing the agency’s financial contribution upon receiving an answer.
It was revealed that Waka Kotahi will contribute $150,000 to the research while Te Manatu Waka Ministry of Transport is contributing $50,000.
