Kiwi EV and PHEV owners will welcome the news that Z Energy has launched a new home charging electricity package which includes three hours of free charging between 3 and 6 am.
That equates to around 30km of free range when using a smart charger, like the optional Evnex which Z offers with its new package at an additional cost, enabling users to set what time their vehicles are charged.
Customers who opt for the smart charger will also receive half price night versus day rates, between 9 pm and 7 am.
“EV drivers can set their timer to charge their car early every morning so it’s ready to drive when they get up, making the most of the free power offer,” says Lindis Jones, CEO of Z.
“This home charging offer builds on Z’s rapid expansion of its EV charging network to meet forecast demand, with plans to have EV charging available at 20 per cent of Z’s retail service station sites by the end of 2023.
